Red & Black are the colors used in Gerald Genta's logo :

The contrast between these 2 colors gives the ability to create very original dials in this entertaining context.
Hopefully, the designers of the brand, in order to keep "this fun side" decided to use a lot of geometrical shapes which leads to a great diversity in the style of these dials. The geometrical shapes are enhanced for example, by the cloisonné and lacquered finishings of the Octo collection.
I would like to show you several pictures which give the proof of this deversity. There aren't 2 dials which are alike.
The dial of the Octo Biretro is already complex even if it's the simplest Octo of the collection:
The Octo Tourbillon. You will notice the patterns used in this version which are different from the ones in the biretro version:
We keep the same complication and we change the dial : we get the famous Octo Ultimate Fantasy, created for Mickey's 80th anniversary.
We stay with a Tourbillon watch with the Octo Incontro:
One of the most specific decoration can be found on the dial of the Octo 48 months - MP:
We have the feeling to get the rising sun japonese flag on the wrist (which is a nice idea due to the presence of the moonphases) !
The Octo World Wide Timer features a thick bezel which sadly reduces the dial size. It's not my fav watch of the collection...

Even without the dial, you are able to find the same mix of colors !
I hope you enjoyed to discover these different dials. Black and red are very often seen on dials. But the way these colors are used in Genta's watches is unique and original... for our biggest pleasure.
