какая восхитительная дичь. трапписты ничем не отличаются по качеству. от скажем хорошего аббатского или даже от хорошего пива, сваренного под "траппистов" . если речь идет о хорошем пиве, конечно. да, и вообще это просто вид, или "стиль", пива не более.
это басня про монастыри траппистские - просто маркетинговый ход. что кроме как в бельгии монастырей нигде не было.
у чехов тоже есть монастырское пиво.

вот allagash в сша варит и варит бельгийское, трипперы и т.д. и не спрашивает разрешения ни у каких монастырей,

Господа, к чему мнения? Есть четкое определение самой ассоциации Трапписткое.
The beer must be brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery, either by the monks themselves or under their supervision.
The brewery must be of secondary importance within the monastery and it should witness to the business practices proper to a monastic way of life
The brewery is not intended to be a profit-making venture. The income covers the living expenses of the monks and the maintenance of the buildings and grounds. Whatever remains is donated to charity for social work and to help persons in need.

Не совсем так.
Самый принципиальный момент это то, что в случае траппистов "монахи рулят". Это всегда облигатно подчинённое положение пивоварни.

Вроде бы как раз весь процесс должен быть в стенах монастыря под контролем монахов.
