Divine Inspiration
While most mechanical watches of the time utilized 5 bridges, the design of the Three Gold Bridges was said to be inspired by the Holy Trinity, where the top bridge (which held the mainspring barrel), the center bridge (holding the hour and minute hand), and the third bridge (holding the tourbillon) represented the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit respectively.

Other oft-quoted theories behind the three bridge design was that the three bridges represented the past, present, and the future; and even the sunrise, zenith, and sunset.

the ww.tc Financial USA

The Swiss Haute Horlogerie Manufacture, Girard-Perregaux, has created exclusively for the US market a limited and numbered series of its ww.tc Financial, the first chronograph to indicate the different times around the world as well as the business hours of four major stock markets.

Its functions are anchored in the vibrant life of the 21st century: it is the only watch in the world to display both the world's twenty-four time zones and the business hours of the New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo stock markets. The system is based on two mobile discs around the dial: a ring representing the twenty-four hours is synchronised with the hour hand. A second ring may be set with the crown at 9 o'clock. It displays the names of the cities and the four stock markets opening periods. When the red index on the hour ring is opposite one of these periods, the corresponding market is open. Besides the central hour and minute the ww.tc Financial USA also offers a chronograph, a small second and date at 1.30.


Its sophisticated mechanism is the fruit of the Manufacture's research: the automatic winding movement GP033C0 was developed by Girard-Perregaux with the constant aim of perfection. This watchmaking technique-packed creation, with its 46-hour power reserve, can be admired through the sapphire case-back.

The ww.tc Financial USA has also an energetic design, going back to the irresistible codes of the Girard-Perregaux ww.tc collection, with an easily readable display and timeless elegance. It revitalises them with a black dial, punctuated with blue and bright yellow touches, and a forty-three millimetre steel case. A limited, individually-numbered series of 150 pieces exclusively developed for the US market is available with an alligator strap with yellow couture or a steel bracelet.

Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux has announced a limited edition Laureato watch intended exclusively for the United States market. Presented in brushed 18-karat pink gold, the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph USA Exclusive measures an imposing 46mm in diameter. The luxurious presence of the gold is counterbalanced by the sporty rubber coated bezel, chronograph pushpieces and winding crown; this contrast is further enhanced by the carbon fiber dial, with contrasting rose chronograph subdials and colorful accents of red and yellow. A curved sapphire crystal offers excellent protection against scratches.
The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph USA Exclusive offers a 24-hour indication and pointer date display in addition to a chronograph with 12-hour and 30-minute counters. These diverse functions are controlled by the self-winding GP033C0 caliber, a mechanical movement manufactured by Girard-Perregaux. Balance frequency is 28,800 beats per hour, and power reserve is 46 hours. The aesthetic aspects of the watchmaking craft are manifested in a range of fine decorative finishes, including Cotes de Geneve on the bridges and circular graining on the plate.
Girard-Perregaux will produce 35 examples of the Laureato Chronograph USA watch. Straps are in alligator leather or rubber and feature a pink gold folding clasp. Water resistance of this Laureato model is 100 meters.
