Officine Panerai is pleased to unveil the redesign of their historic Florence boutique in the city where the brand was founded.
Commissioned by Panerai to design the new boutique, architect/designer Patricia Urquiola paid homage to the brand’s heritage while infusing modern elements in its design.

Situated in the Piazza San Giovanni in the center of Florence and facing the city’s impressive Duomo, the shop now extends over two floors – the ground floor, facing onto the piazza, and the floor above, with a wide window providing a magnificent view of the Baptistery. In the new Florence boutique, the nod to Panerai’s nautical roots takes the form of an elegant, uncluttered space composed of marble, bronze and wood. Patricia Urquiola’s ability to combine modernity and tradition is the perfect complement to Panerai’s philosophy – a nod to the past, the importance of innovation, and the seamless integration of design and technical expertise.

With the opening of the new shops designed by Urquiola, Officine Panerai now has 64 boutiques in the world, five of them in Italy.
Urquiola has been commissioned to redesign five Officine Panerai boutiques in Florence, Hong Kong, Miami, Paris and New York.
